2S3 AKATSIYA - Balaton Model 1/72

This time I built the modern afv model from ATO zone. The model is resin kit from Balaton Model made out of the box. Really nice and well moulded kit, because I didn't need the putty paste during assembly process.

The self-propelled gun 2S3 Akatsiya (or 2С3 Ака́ция) is ready for painting stage.

Polish 100mm Howitzer m.1914/19 - September 1939

"First to Fight" set out of the box finished in April. Highly recommended!

The next project is finished. At the end of weathering stage, I applied dry mud on the low part of vehicle. The surface was moistured by fixer and then I sprinkled dry pigments. Splash technique is perfect to obtain extra mud effects.
As always, I prepared small diorama with ground and figure. The crew came from Preiser set.

XIV International Modelling Festival Bytom 2018

After two years break, the biggest modeling contest took place in Bytom again. It was XIV edition with almost 1,500 works. Most of them on highest pro level.
Four of my new models were awarded. Congratulation all for great event!

GMC Clubmobile - #weathring_effects

Rusty chipping effects were made using the same method as before. Additionally I improved  this technique using tiny round brush giving final touch.

Nice detail is clean surface on dirty windshield, when wipers were working in reality. I used masking tape from Tamiya producer and apply thin coat of Matt Varnish from Mr Hobby on the windshield as you can see in the photo. 

Rains and streaking grime effects were made as ussual - by AK Interactive enamel products.

At the end the interior was equipped with some resin kitchen accessories from CMK and other resin producers.
